The totally renovated Luso Thermal Spa impress, on a national level, a new dynamic of the spa therapy through an innovative concept supported by three complementary facilities: Classic Spa, Thermal Spa and Medical Center.

The thermal complex is open to the public throughout the year in response to current trends in the health and wellness segment.

Total mineralization: Hyposaline The Thermal Water of Luso is an exceptional resource and has its origin in the rainwater infiltrated in Serra do Buçaco. After the infiltration, the water makes a deep circuit, through rocks formed almost exclusively by quartz, estimating that it reaches more than 500 metres depth, causing the heating of the water that emerges, by interposition of an impermeable geological barrier that forces the water upward, at about 28ºC, being therefore considered mesothermal.
Chemical composition: silicate, chlorinated, sodium and potassium
This circuit gives the Thermal Water of Luso a low mineralization, considered hyposaline, sodium chlorate with a concentration of silica of about 26% of the value of the total mineralization.

In addition to the rituals of a classic Spa, the Thermal Spa explores the therapeutic benefits of the Luso Thermal Water with a strong scientific approach that combines conventional techniques with innovative solutions.
Short wellness programs, Half Day and One Day Spa Experience, and others with a duration of up to five days with or without accommodation are highlighted.
The Thermal Spa also offers the Acqua Sensations Circuit, an area of excellence for bath and heat experiences that explores the benefits of the dynamic and thermal action of Luso Thermal Water. In its space it has an interactive swimming pool, an ice fountain, a sauna, a hammam, a swiss shower, shower sensations and a relaxation room.
As far as thermal treatments are concerned, the exclusive treatments were developed from tradition and acquired thermal experience. With a diuretic and detoxifying action, the ingestion of water is the fundamental element of the thermal treatment. The treatments and the recommended duration are decided by the medical consultation, and may vary from case to case.

Our Medical Center bets on specialized medical support and has modern facilities, which include a fully equipped gym and several treatment rooms for different clinical situations of rehabilitation, namely orthopedic, neurological and rheumatological rehabilitation.
